My Silver Lining...

Hi, I'm Ashlee. mom of 3. paramedic/firefighter. burning things with laser beams on the side.

I started this little business in 2012 after sustaining a nearly career ending  injury on the job that left me unable to work for an extended period of time. I was barely an adult, and wasn't sure how i was going to survive, eat, pay my rent, keep the lights on, etc i picked up some jewelry making items at the craft store to occupy my time and realized i was actually enjoying myself. i started with beading and resin and soon i was able to buy my first cricut. i made it through almost a year of therapy and finally was able to return to work. throughout that time, i was able to survive on income generated from my little business. after lots of practice, i branched into sublimation, and eventually was able to purchase my first laser engraver.then, i purchased a second one....now,  im patiently awaiting the delivery of my final dream laser

 

i say all of that to say this....the name, silver lining design company,  is meaningful to me, because in the darkest time of my life, that's exactly what this little business was and continues to be.
